I stopped by the Exotic Grill on my way home. Didn't really expect to find a sushi restaurant in Poplar Bluff. When I got there they had just opened and were getting ramped up for the evening. When I asked which rolls they recommended, they told me both what was popular and what was their own personal favorites. Funny thing was, unlike most sushi restaurants, they didn't push just the most expensive rolls... they really seemed to want to help find what the customer wanted. I had three rolls and found each of them to be VERY good! Though I have eaten at sushi bars that gave larger portions of fish in the rolls, it is rare to find one that has created such balance and big flavors as they have. The Da Vinci, Fire and Volcano Rolls were each very good! Highly recommend them, I sat at the sushi bar and Dennis was a lot of laughs and made the visit even that much better. Now, I am trying to figure out another reason to go to Poplar Bluff!

We stopped in at Exotic Grill. The staff is friendly, however, it is the luck of the draw as to who you get as your waitstaff. It took 15 minutes to have our order taken, while a table of six that came in after us had already had their order taken and they got their food first. 4 pieces of sushi , a baked potato(that wasn't completely done) and a DiVinci roll took 35 minutes from order time. The eel was micro thin, the yellowtail was okay. All in all, disappointing. This used to be our favorite place when they were located off PP Highway, perfect sushi and high standards for entrees. That is no longer the case. Oh, and the chairs make a horrible racket when they are pulled out or pushed in.

This place has been a little hit or miss for me. Yes they have some great dishes, but I've had a couple of duds as well. If you want sushi in Poplar Bluff, this is probably your only option as far as I know. Their crab Rangoon is great. I also love their Vegas roll. I liked their duck, but the portion seemed small for the price tag. If they are full the service can be a bit slow at times. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for something different.

It was ok. The service was a little slow but the staff had great personality. ..which is a huge plus Ordered the sashimi but a roll would have been a better idea. I am in south east Missouri so should have known better than to try that. I understand the pansit is great so will try that next time.

Let me start off by saying the sushi is excellent. I recommend the lobster roll. However, it took around 20-25 minutes to get our appetiser (3 egg rolls) and over an hour to get 3 sushi rolls. I would not have minded the wait but there were less than 15 people there the entire time. All in all, great food, bad atmosphere, and bad wait times.

Dennis, Steven and the rest of the staff are great. Portions are perfect. Sushi is absolutely amazing. My personal favorite is the Davinci Roll and the Surf and Turf. Beware the Kamakazi Roll :D The grill is always a good time.

Wonderful place had wonton soup, Cuban pork chop. Large servings food is great. Dennis is great, tried a couple new dishes, had it here first here crispy chicken curry.

The food here is decent, over priced because there's no competition and maybe because they have to travel far for the ingredients. But overall... Not worth your money really unless you really crave that Asian zing. Pad Thai is the worse. It's not pad Thai at all.... They used big fat noodle, throw in some sweet, sour and spicy soy sauce and called it a day. I wouldn't order it again. Sushi is decent considering no where else around here makes it. Had a Thai tilapia curry, again over priced even though good flavoring because it's tilapia.
